form follows function- a Collection made as part of collaboration with Cristóbal Balenciaga museum Inspired by Cristóbal Balenciaga’s headwear, this project explores structure and form through the lens of millinery. Balenciaga saw hats as sculptural extensions of the body—an idea that shaped my design approach. The process unfolded in three stages: sculpting a plaster mold, shaping thermoplastic over it, and layering industrial and manual felting. The result is a seamless, three-dimensional garment—free of cuts or stitches, existing as a pure sculptural form.
